Clinical Education
Dr Uglow has been actively involved in teaching throughout his career and has helped train many junior doctors and allied health professionals. He ran the fellowship program at the University Hospital Southampton for surgeons who are finishing their training before becoming consultants. He has been a faculty member at many national and international conferences and training courses, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and experience to enhance learning and education of all grades of orthopaedic surgeons.
He was accepted to the Board of Examiners for the Intercollegiate Fellowship examinations in the UK and currently performs the same role in Abu Dhabi. Dr Uglow has been involved in clinical research throughout his professional career and has many publications to his name. He has mentored many students and doctors by supervising their research projects and preparing them for publication and presentation at scientific meetings.
Since moving to the UAE he has continued to teach and lecture both at local and international level. In 2022 he chaired the Middle East Paediatric Orthopedic Society annual conference in Abu Dhabi.
